These are in no particular order, chronologically or favorite-wise. I can safely say that 2013 for me was pretty damn good and I have come out of it totally un scathed. Even though we haven't gotten our dream condo yet, we made a dent in hunting for it, having and getting used to the ups and downs of the brutal world that is Hoboken real estate, and figured out our actual budget and what we want in a home. My etsy shop has had it's best year, and the future for my little business looks very bright. I've gotten better at DSLR photography, and have lots of new gear c/o my parents from XMas that I'm excited to put to good use and make this blog reach it's full potential. Having a style blog and a successful etsy shop have been on my to-do list for years before I got both off the ground, so now that I'm doing pretty good at both I feel so accomplished and 2013 was the year that both really started to take their respective shapes. Also I got into Twin Peaks in early 2013, a show that I have been obsessed with since and has provided me with an escape on some rough days. Oh yeah, and I saw Paris in 2013. That is like, good enough for me. I still have to share all my adventures with you! I guess that will be in early 2014 at this point, haha.

And of course I love seeing how much my style has evolved over a year, so a 2013 retrospective of my favorite outfits was fun for me to to. I really got into experimenting with styles and colors I normally shy away from. Here's to another stylin' year! Clink!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Winter White

Dress// Modcloth
Coat// Bitten (old as dirt)
Legwarmers// I forgot
Boots// Kensie
Scarf// Target

These photos are brought to you by one of my new lenses! It's a 40mm canon lens, and its great for portraits and it absorbs a ton of light so it's great for low lighting, too. It's also tiny, like an inch wide so it's so cute and compact. I laaaaaav it!

These were taken the day after Christmas, Mike and I decided to go on a somewhat aimless drive, which is easy peasy here on Long Island. It's very difficult to get seriously lost round these parts. We ended up on the property where Teddy Roosevelt had a house, which is now a museum/nature trail. We didn't stay long as we got there right as the museum was gonna close then it would be too dark to go strolling through the woods with out being severely creeped out by the dark. You forget hey, it actually gets dark at night! We're too used to things like street lights and the city. Also, it's cold.

Aww Look at the Treee!

Thought I would share the family Christmas tree on here! I know it's the day AFTER Christmas but for me I celebrate the Holiday season till after New Years. It's more fun that way, obv.
Hope your holidays were and are awesome! I got some new camera things I can't wait to share with ya on here! Two new lenses, to be specific. I already have tons of photos waiting to be uploaded so I can post them here. I'm really enjoying this season so far, my Aunt Gloria is here, and I have lots of plans to see all my friends and family memebers in the upcoming days and I'm just so happy that it's my favorite time of year.

See ya later!

Christmas Decor 2013

Oooooof you guys I am sick as a dog!! I'm still in my jammies, and I slept nice and late today. I will probably repeat tomorrow. I have a lot of people to see and hang out with this weekend so I gotta get better, and quick! I hate missing out on festivities, especially at this time of year.

Being as I'm just sitting here chilling in my room and watching TV, I decided I would snap some photos of my Christmas decorations in here and show you :)

These are my snowglobes I made from baby food jars a few years back. I think it's time to make new ones, these are getting a bit...murky.

I like using my picture/print/zine wall to hang things..such an easy way to decorate.

Black, White, and Red

Dress, Sweater and Tights// Target
Shoes// Steve Madden
Belt// Thrifted (from Paris!)
Necklace// Modcloth

Oh hai! I have a nice and paced out day today. I'm pretty sure all of the holiday orders are out and on their merry way, which is quite the releif. Later today I'm going to do some much needed Christmas shopping! I'm still not done. Hopefully after today and this weekend, i will be! I'm going shopping with Rhiannon on Saturday in the city. Shopping, shopping, shopping! Hopefully that will and wrapping up gifts will put me in the Christmas mood, cause I haven't really gotten the chance to get into the spirit just yet.

I'm also going to try my best to find the time do have at least one Christmas craft DIY up here. here's to hoping!

Speaking of which, I'm so happy I was able to find a thrift store in Paris. I actually found it on the last day there, haha. I didn't have a ton of time so all I got was this belt and a pattern scarf. I have a dress with dogs on it ...one day I should wear that dress and the belt together. Maybe when I finally get a doggie of my own that's what I will wear to celebrate the momentous occasion (I want a dog so bad!!) Anyway, the store is called By the Kilo, and I highly recommend it, if you ever find yourself in Paris. They charge you by weight so you can just fill up your basket to your hearts content. I wish I had more time in the store. Womp womp.
